I'm relieved that the worst things I know about Hugh are he smokes and he likes It's A Wonderful Life. (I just hope he doesn't think if a woman isn't married it's some sort of fate worse than death like that movie implies....)

As much as you obsess over it, an unmarried woman's worth isn't actually a major theme of the movie and almost every fan of old movies knows some parts are unfortunate products of their time.

apparently she was 7-10 years old and he was 9-12 at the time of the alleged abuse. and the mother doesn't believe it. i'm skeptical.

NAYRT—I don’t know the details (or really even who this guy is), but if it stopped when he was twelve and she was 10 and he never did anything shady again, it would be awful, but I don’t think he should still be blamed for it as though he was an adult at the time, or even an older teen. Also I wonder if he was being abused by someone and emulated them.

If it started when he was 9, it's not an if. That sort of inappropriate sexual conduct isn't something young kids just come up with.

I worry about something coming out about RDJ, since I love Tony Stark so much. (I mean something other than the fact that he's a bit dodgy in the politics department.)

I think if something was going to come out about RDJ, it probably would have already. He was at the center of a lot of scandal relating to his substance abuse and the associated arrests for years, and was persona non grata for a while afterward.

The guy who played Joey in Friends is by all accounts a lovely guy who treated his female costars with courtesy and stood up for them when guest stars were dicks to them.

Keanu Reeves, Tom Hanks and Terry Crews check out okay. (I don't want to say "so far" but it isn't exactly wrong. Of course, I hope it's "always.")

Agree to disagree on Terry Crews. He can miss me with that "We must ensure #blacklivesmatter doesn’t morph into #blacklivesbetter" and “a child will not starve with only one gender loving them. But they will be severely malnourished.” shit.

NAYRT - I don't agree with him on those points, but for me they fall under the category of "I see where he's coming from, and I don't think his opinions result from a lack of kindness or empathy, so we're cool."
