The show took itself SUPER seriously in the first three seasons, and it always felt like it was meaningful and important. And then season 3 didn't bother to explain how Sherlock survived. And then season 4 was a straight up fever dream of madness.

If you can enjoy it as schlock I hope it brings you joy, but I can't even enjoy it to mock it because of the /betrayal/ I feel because it never was what it always pretended to be.

Also: they do every female character super dirty, use queerbaiting for cheap laughs, and never let up on Moriarty even though he dies half way through.
