I dipped a toe in online fandom just after The Phantom Menace came out and stumbled on a few Obi-Wan/Qui-Gon fics, which blindsided me a little as I hadn't considered it from the movie (I was fairly young). At that point I exclusively shipped Obi-Wan with my ridiculous Jedi Mary Sue, lol.
