I fit most of the Asperger's little wiki self-diagnosis stuff too, but *I* don't try to play off my SOCIAL AWKWARDNESS on a disease that REAL people are REALLY suffering from just because I'm a social retard who only has like four interests and bores people around him to death with those four interests and then DOESN'T CARE!

I KNOW I'm a social retard. I can see this. When the situations call for me to act normal, I try! I don't just go "Buh, I has a disorder, lol, so you have to accept that I'm acting this way!" NO! I go "I'm sorry, got a little out of hand." And then KEY IT BACK! Take a proactive stance!!

I love you for using the phrase social retard about yourself, and basically everything else you just said. Thanks for saying it so bluntly, too.

Hell yes let's talk about vampires.

I'm seriously a social retard. I stay at home, all night long, even when I'm invited out to parties/raves/clubs/bars...

I hide from people when I'm forced to go to these kinds of events...

I do tend to get obsessive, and loud, and clingy, and annoying when I do interact, but more and more, through trial and error I'm learning to not only talk about MY interests...and pick up clues on when I should excuse myself from the conversation from killing it...O.o

Though, say "bookstore" or "FishStore" and I'm THERE! (If there was a vampirestore I'd be there too...except it'd probably be having the creeping Twilight disease like Borders does these days...)

Kay, so I have to ask.. FishStore as in store that sells fish? Or, um, is that some term I just haven't heard yet? (yeah, I totally realize that I may get teased mercilessly for that question, and I'll probably even deserve it if I am).

Yep! FishStore is a store that sells fish.

I don't know anything about fish, except that someday I'm going to have a ginormous tank with really awesome fish in it.

You should do what I've done. IT's a 55 gallon tank with a TON of little fishes called Endler's livebearers. They breed live, and readily, so you'll always have an awesome stock of fish in there.

I've got live plants, because they make for a nice balanced ecosystem. I should take pictures of it so I can show it off. But my endlers are really, really pretty!!

It's kind of neat to have a HUGE tank with _{tiny fish in it, because they make the tank look that much bigger!}

Seriously, five chapters into the book and I was throwing it across the room, and then trying to feed it to my friend who eats really bad books. (no, really, she ate my Bustin' book, okay, just a page or two, but seriously!)

I was SURE I'd read the whole "Lookit my powers" thing before too. Vampire Diaries vol 1 when Stefan finally (Accidently) reveals himself to Elena. I remember him slashing up a pillowcase with his fingernails, and snapping a five inch thick log in half with like no effort, saying something like "Can you imagine what I could do to your soft skin? Your Fragile Bones?"

I actually have a variety of vampires I made up on my own.

They don't sparkle.

I'd like to be beaten to death with great vampire books that I have to read one at a time.

I think the best vampires I ever read about are the ones whose heads detach and they like, float around at night with their bodies hidden somewhere. Those were awesome.

I made up a breed of vampires named the Anusian Strigorii.

They've got some neat social, physical, and sexual quirks that work really well for a functional vampire.

They BURN in the sunlight (Not sparkle) But it's a mythology based thing.

Anusia is the name of an actual Gyspy goddess of the Moon, so I took that lore and worked with it.

She's known for her sharp eyeteeth, unusual eyes, and being like...bony thin.

So, my vampires have fangs (Canine fangs, my main vampire, Roanoke's fangs are 2cm fully extended, so they're not hugely long, he's abnormal because his fangs are always at a 'rested' state, so they're 1.5cm long normally, and 1cm long retracted...(TMI?))
They are KNOWN for their BEAUTIFUL eyes. As a human Roanoke had kind of muddy hazel eyes. Now he's got BRILLIANT green eyes.
He was also about 40 lbs overweight as a human. He lost it in the three days it takes for him to come back to life.

They're anti garlic because the smell's simply too strong for them. They can also be repelled by onions. ::Grins::

He drinks blood. Needs about a pint a day, human, animal, doesn't matter. Except for once a month or three he needs HUMAN blood...

Oh fun. Do they all have the same green eyes, or does color vary vampire to vampire?

They vary.

Like a vampire with normal brown eyes will end up with honey, golden, jet, or mahogony colored eyes. Grey will go to one of those warm almost velvet colored. Some greys will go violet. Things like that!

One thing about their eyes. When they're 'aroused' in some kind of way, their eyes turn red. So, like, if they're hungry, or really horny, or really scared, or hella pissed off, they'll turn BRIGHT red.

So, I did a little research on Anusia, very cool myth to base your vamps on. Are you planning on publishing or anything?

I've started to really work on my writing ability. I'm an avid RolePlayer, and work on my mythology while I RP!

I've got...three books in the process of being written. A bodice ripper, a mystery, and a Yaoi Manga!

Your version of vampires sounds wonderful. Because, you know, opinion of random person on the internet is v. important. XD

Ha! ILU. I'm exactly the same way. I do have a disorder (ADD), but not Asperger's, and I certainly don't use it as an excuse. In fact, that's why I'm on meds for it--so I can't use it as an excuse and can function a bit more normally. But in addition, I'm just naturally a total recluse and social retard, no excuses. XD

So disorder or no, to blame bad behavior on it is just immature and, frankly, insulting. It's like crying wolf--eventually no one's going to believe you, or at least think much of it, when the way you're acting really is because of the disorder or whatever.

Ah, vampires. Yes, plz. I haven't even read Twilight and I'm steering clear, despite how much some friends are recommending it.

I've got a disorder too, and while I will use it by way of explanation "I think I'm just going to stay home right now, I'm feeling a little anxious and depressed, so I think I'll just curl up with some hot chocolate and season five of NCIS."

I Don't: "I'm Bi-Polar, so when I'm manic you JUST HAVE TO DEAL WITH ME BEING LOUD AND ANNOYING! AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!" Even when I'm manic, and am realizing it, I'll make an effort to slow down so people can understand me, and not get angry when they have a hard time following my train of thought, and try to be more reserved in my actions.

VAMPIRES OMG!! ::Grins:: Yes, I adore vampires! And if they're recomending Twilight, RUN AWAY, FAR AWAY! If you wanna read the teen angst with fangs and romance, seriously, read the Vampire Diaries. They're written for YA, have essentially the same plot, and are far better written.
