I know, right? I mean, Doctor Who has been pretty good with the science side of their science-fiction, but how the heck are they gonna pull this one off?

they would explain it the way they explain it every single time The Doctor changes his appearance, "Timelords change!" or more simply, "REGENERATION." his companions won't know that he has always been white. for all they'll know 10 is the only time he's been white. maybe every other time he was black. how will they know that 11 is the one who would stand out? why would anyone need to explain anything? when 5 was suddenly extremely good-looking no one bothered to explain that major difference either.
