i liked the aesthetic of the new sabrina, and even thought the setting was kind of neat, but ultimately i couldn't manage much past season 1 because i thought the writing was awful, and not in a way i could enjoy past 10 episodes. the lady playing madam satan was fucking amazing though, i'd have watched nothing but her for 2 seasons happily.

That would be Michelle Gomez, one of my current favorite actresses and the reason I gave the show a try. She's so excellent at playing villains. But I agree with you. The setting and aesthetics were nice, but the writing was terrible.
