No one cared that Ruby got tortured because the writers made Ruby come back perfectly snarky like normal. SHE didn't even seem to care.

After seeing her on The 4400, I lay blame at the feet of the actress (not that I liked any of the writing in "Route 666," but still). I wasn't a big fan of Cassie and I'd still rather watch that episode over again than see any of Isabelle's episodes, which when I see them now make me wince.

I agree! And *whispers* I thought her chemistry with Dean was scorching in that sex scene. It's still the best one the show's done, in my opinion.

If they wanted to make Alastair look more badass and cruel, they could have just made him say awful things to Dean about what he did in hell, in front of Sam. And then Dean could cry and he and Sam could have accidental buttsex to make everything better. That would have been more entertaining for the fans AND less insulting to Ruby! :)

Yes. Not to mention that GC can't act worth a damn so I couldn't get a feel for how the character was feeling at all.

Replace Cassie with Pam or Ellen and I am all about that.
