Alright, I hope you realize I'm putting my life at great risk by sharing this information with you.

What you need to do first, see, is take a bus to this city called Port Huron in Michigan. Then, walk three blocks down from the bus station and take a left on the corner with the abandoned hardware store. Not the one with the blue sign, you'll never forgive yourself if you go that way. The one with the blue and white sign. It'll eventually bring you to a small park with two slides, one swingset, and half a see-saw. There'll be an old man on a bench between the two slides holding a bag of Andy Capp's Hot Fries and wearing a brown fedora. If he's holding a bag of generic Salt n' Vinegar chips, do not approach him. Return the next day, and each day after until he's eating the Hot Fries. Once he is, challenge him to a game of Chutes and Ladders. NOT SNAKES AND LADDERS. I cannot stress this enough. Once you beat him three times consecutively, he'll ask you if you've ever been to the medical oddities museum. Say yes. He'll ask you if you've ever been to the REALLY GOOD medical oddities museum. Say no. He'll then drive you to the airport and you'll take the late flight to Philadelphia. If you take any flight before 5pm, you'll be screwed and have to start the process all over again once you land. Once you get to Philadelphia, the old man will throw his fedora in the air and take down a passing Canada goose. The goose will, if you've been doing things properly, have an injured left wing. You will then need to rent a teal Toyota Yaris (NOT THE PT CRUISER, if the rental car guy offers you the PT Cruiser run in the opposite direction as fast as you can!) and drive the goose to the Happy Times Wildlife Rehabilitation building in Princeton, New Jersey. The front desk lady will thank you for your kindness and give you a yellow voucher for a free hot fudge sundae at Dairy Queen. Go to the Dairy Queen closest to the Mattress Giant and tell the clerk you want it with 'rainbow jimmies'. She'll nod understandingly and escort you to a back room containing fandom.

I must hurry into the night now, before THEY punish me for revealing this top secret initiation.

Well, yes and no. Usually they're about mundane things like my survival of Dunkin' Donuts pizza or having to brave Babies R' Us to purchase a baby shower gift and are fairly short journal entries more than essays.
