I feel the exact same way about the Narnia books and even though I bought it when I was maybe 12 or 13, I have yet to read The Last Battle.

The fact I'm RPing Tumnus and so will have to go through at some point is I think what's going to get me to finally read it.

Oh dear, thanks, well the Golden Age is long so I'll put it off as long as possible. I pretty much know what happens due to the RP so I'll wait.

i've read the last battle, you are not missing anything. i've never read a book that literally pissed me off on every page. there was not a single thing i liked about it. i only made my way through it because it was short and i'd read the whole series.
