I would have cared more about tlou2 if Riley had lived instead of Ellie in the first game.

While I didn't want Ellie to die, I was pretty attached to Abby by the end and found her story a little more interesting since it wasn't a foregone conclusion. Also, I fucking love Lev. I would lay down my life for Lev. Great kid, great character. The single moment that Got Me emotionally the most in the whole game, besides the final flashback of Joel, was when Abby said, "You're my fucking people!" to Lev. My wife and I have played through twice now, and both times that line just got me. Oof. I love it.

I think they’re both equally assholes. Lev was by far my favorite character toward the end of the game.

I do hope that Abby continues to be a decent person, and worthy of being family to Lev. And that Ellie really gets her head screwed on right before she makes any further attempt to go near Dina.

SAAAAME. Abby is best girl and I will fight literally anyone about it. At that desperately bitter end I just was so disgusted with Ellie. I'd lost patience or understanding for her once she made her big decision. Where Abby chose to grow, Ellie wouldn't.

Hence Abby is best girl.
