I guess I'm not sure why you'd be more disturbed by going after (does that mean flirting with or harassing/assaulting?) friend's gfs and manipulating co-workers than by grooming children. Equally disturbed, sure, but...more?

Someone mentioned it below but his creepy grooming/flirting is entirely online (to this day not a single image of his face exists online) and mostly against 15-20 years olds, which isn't an excuse for what he did but also isn't outright assaulting kids. I feel like it was more about emotional immaturity than, uh, body types.

I guess aside from the emotional abuse potentially destroying someone, it's hard for me to get past the fact that you can easily search for or accidentally find worse content online by that age? I don't think I'm right, by any means. I just feel this way.

Also the friend's gf just cheated on friend with Cry (online affair...). Said friend then played Cry's best friend role for five more years till now for financial stability away from parents' hoarder methhouse. Two years ago said friend introduced another girl to the group, who he was interested in romantically, and then girl started dating Cry. Alone it's not a problem but twice causes mental issues...

i get what you mean. like... as horrible as what he did was, so far everything that's come out about the underage thing is pretty... benign, as far as that sort of thing can be. No nudes, no irl hookups, nothing, like, worth the scandal if it wasn't for the fact they were all in their late teens and he was in his 20s when all of it went down.

Not excusing him, but honestly, cringy sexts and flirting isn't much compared to the bull shit he put his coworkers/friends through.

again not at all exonerating him for what he did to those girls, but the late-night therapy calls, the keeping them on a back burner, the cheating....it's bad, but, like, regular fuck boy stuff you could expect from just about any other shit tier dude, even without the underage stuff.

I stopped keeping up with the whole thing around June 24th, so there's maybe been some new revelations I'm not aware of, but not much. I'm the same as you, I used to be big into Cry until he switched to twitch permanently. Uhhhh, like. as far as yt scandals go, this is pretty tame, but still. It's a shitty, fuckboy thing to do. Oh well.

I think everything being online definitely plays a part in it just not feeling quite as bad as it could be to me. Maybe I'm just used to non-virtual fuckboys being so much worse. :|

And I grew up in a time where there was barely any age censoring online, so I feel like I've seen much worse by that age already, but I guess this is more about the emotional abuse in a presumed safe(r) space rather than the explicit texts being explicit. Which can be hard to understand from outside.

Chronic cheating and chewing through friends though? I can personally relate to so it hits closer to home,
