Ugh, yes. Our governor's made them mandatory in public places, but the amount of redneck, maga lookin' MFers I saw at the store earlier not wearing them is just...gah. I'd be happy to let them just darwinize themselves if they're going to be that damn ignorant, but the rest of us don't deserve to have to be around their selfish asses.

Ours did too, but it isn't actually enforceable? which I don't get? So some people still aren't wearing them because they can get away with it.

Right now it's been ordered temporarily blocked by a judge because of the dumbass Republicans but the state laws are pretty clear (and the judge said that the governor just needs to "specifically state the emergency that requires the order, the location of the emergency, and the name of the local emergency management agency that has determined that the emergency is beyond its capabilities" which doesn't seem all that difficult) so I'm hoping they'll be able to enforce it soon.

Oh man, can I kick them afterwards? This morning on the trolley it was Men Without Masks. Like Men Without Hats, except instead of catchy 80s music they spread disease and selfishness.

One of my coworkers was seriously worried today about the COVID vaccine being part of a plot to microchip people, and I just... headdesk. Like, I get that Black people have tons of legit reasons to distrust medical science considering all the horrendous shit that was done in black communities without their knowledge or consent, but I'm still frustrated.

Also, the syringes used to microchip animals are fuckoff huge and don't look like normal ones, plus, if you're worried about being tracked wherever you go, that ship has sailed unless you're willing to encase your cell phone in concrete and dump it in the ocean.

The whole microchip thing is so stupid. Like... you already get vaccines? Nobody needs to invent a fake vaccine to inject you, they could just do it and tell you it's a booster shot? And also, everyone and their grandmother already carries around tracking devices in their cellphones and their cars? YOU STUPID MOTHERFUCKERS.

Yeah I think by the time we have microchips that fit though the tiny tiny needle of a normal syringe we'll have cured all diseases.

Agreed, and I'd also like to punch the people who just can't bear to let a little thing like a global pandemic get in the way of their summer. A customer the other day mentioned she was leaving this week for vacation...in *Florida*. And the higher ups wonder why all of us on the front lines want to remain drive thru only instead of opening up our lobbies. I've been at this location for years and I just applied for a back office job because I'm worried about being forced to put myself and my high risk family members in danger by dealing with idiots who think vacationing to a coronavirus hotspot is a great idea.

tbh, at this point, nobody should be unaware of the shitty toll this disease could potentially have on the body. It's not even about whether you live or die (though death is possible), it's about how you physically deal after surviving it. Even though the majority of infected might suffer mild symptoms, there are too many horror stories about people having permanent lung damage and being out of breath after a short walk, or not being able to shake a bad cough or feeling physically crappy. And clearly it isn't a "protect your grandparents" kind of disease. Kids and relatively younger people are getting sick or dying too. I keep thinking of that Broadway actor who fought the disease for over three months, suffering blot clots and having his leg amputated, and still dying at only 41.

I can't believe the number of aggressive deniers, the ones who are threatening to sue/impeach leaders for doing the right thing and enforcing mask use and social distancing and keeping businesses at limited capacity, or deliberately spreading their germs on random people, or having meltdowns over having to GIVE A SHIT ABOUT OTHER PEOPLE... these pieces of shit should be treated like a danger to the public, because as far as I'm concerned, they don't give a shit if their stupidity gets people killed. Everyone's lives are on hold at least partly because of them, and all they can think about is MuuUhhhHHH FREeEeDDUUuuMmMM. I'm so sick of doing my part, staying home, not being able to move around like I used to, not sleeping or eating well, and suffering worse health for it, while other people get to act recklessly and not get held accountable for it.

Oh, god, same. If I have to hear one more idiot bitch and moan about how wearing a mask violates their "Constitutional freedoms" or other bullshit like that... Shut the goddamn fuck up, you fucking morons.

Would that we could make every single one of these people have to be held accountable for putting people at risk like this. If I could, I'd love to have it where they're forced to, say, dig the graves for all those who've died from this virus, or have to work at hospitals where people who are sick are staying, or they have to sit somewhere and listen to stories from people who've either had the virus or know someone who has, and listen to the stories from loved ones of those who've died from it.

Stuff like that. Something, anything to finally get them to just stop already and eat their words.

I'm okay with the grave digging thing, but I wouldn't inflict these idiotic fucks on the vulnerable or grieving. I would put it past them to say something shitty out of complete denial and make it worse. Unfortunately, the only thing with a chance of making them eat their words is them catching the virus themselves and seeing how much it DOESN'T suck to stay their ass home for a few weeks while the worst passes.
