If it’s actually important to correct, I’d do it in private and phrase it as kindly as possibly. Like hey when you said x, I don’t think that really makes sense because y. Otherwise, I’d just keep my mouth shut if it involves work or an acquaintance. All bets are off for friends and other anons, though.
