This. Either that, or if they want to continue the "one story an episode" format, have more variety in the stories. 5 of the 6 in this latest iteration were all about murders and disappearances, and I do find stories like that interesting, but yeah, with how popular the true crime genre is nowadays, it does make them feel less unique. It would've been fun to throw in a few more stories about a supposedly haunted place, or lost loves reuniting, or a disappearance that isn't tied to a crime, or stuff like that, too.

Still, I did enjoy the show in and of itself, and I did love the nod to Stack in the opening credits, and I'm glad they kept the theme music, too. Just hearing it gave me chills and put me in the right frame of mind for these stories (and really added to the eerie, heartbreaking nature of the stories).

nayrt but I agree so hard. I know they only had a small number of episodes, and they had one UFO episode. But one of my favorite types of old UM episodes were the historical mysteries or disappearances, and there's so much rich material to draw from there. Especially if they're going for a more international range of material.

DA - I was personally happy that they only had one UFO episode. Those were the worst, IMO.

Yeah. They're not my favorites, either.

Yeah, the UFO stories were never my favorites of the original series, either. Though there was one I do remember about people who got some sort of weird blotches or got sick or something after encountering one that was kinda freaky.

I did find the UFO story in this one interesting, though, just because of how many people experienced something weird that night.

The UFO one was the worst in this new show's lineup. I couldn't finish it. I enjoy the disappearances and things like that.

"lost loves reuniting"
PLEASE GOD NO. Those were the fucking worst thing in the original. I watch UM for the mystery not for Lifetime fairy tails
