Yeah, he's definitely likeable, seems like a really genuinely nice guy, but those are the only two roles I've found him convincing in as well, Broadchurch because he actually manages to completely bury himself in the part, and Jessica Jones because he plays all his usual mannerisms (which I'm not really fond of) in such a terrifying and effective way. As a Doctor Who fan I've always struggled with him as the Tenth Doctor and it's got even worse with time, honestly.
