Agreed. A lot of fics just don't seem to care about characterization or something. I guess it's more attractive to a lot of writers (and readers, obviously) to slap a familiar name onto whatever person they want to see and read about than get the characterization right.

Though honestly, WWX kind of comes off more immature and annoying in the donghua, IMO. Maybe that's where it's coming from.

Probably re/donghua. He is pretty annoying there so far (his voice actor doesn't help. Idk why he has a different VA in it...)
