I've got to say, every time I hear someone say this it seems like either an attempt to slow down wank or an attempt for someone to defend their personal interests. You can't take all measure of objective quality out media and label everything as "YMMV". Nobody's been calling anyone stupid or ignorant - you can like something despite its flaws, for the things it does well - but I have to say, every time I see someone declare their undying love for some piece of really mainstream media of dubious quality, be it Twilight or Naruto or Kingdom Hearts, I have to wonder what kind of experience they're basing that opinion on.
tl;dr blah blah KH2 was button-mashy, action commands were old years ago, the plot made no sense and the levels and difficulty were drastically downsized from KH1 but who am I to talk, I finished it, baww'd at Axel's death and wrote numerous AU fanfics for it. Including a highschool AU. *hangs head*

You can wonder why, but the fact they find it awesome isn't bad in and of itself. Trying to yell someone into the ground and being hypocritical from their own comments, as my quoting her was meant to point out? Is pretty pointless. Every time anyone pointed out what they found awesome, she disagreed... instead of engaging it on the level of, you know, what they find awesome, which is what she asked for. Which is, uh, kind of lame and pugilistic.
Lolol the plot made sense, but yeah, those are all true! However, the gameplay was fun. Lots of games aren't designed for pure hardcore difficulty, and -- eh, I've got to get to work, I'm not going to wade in and defend KH's gameplay or story here. I enjoy it, I find it fun, and the type of fun it provides me I find awesome. I think the attitude I should have to defend my taste, not just any logic behind it? That's lame. Immensely, immensely lame.
