You really think KH is the cause of the decline in quality for the FFs?

Yeah, it's definitely not the greatest thing since sliced bread, but it was a fun game, and even though it was meant for a younger demographic (of which I think I was the tail end of when I first played KH1), it presented some themes very well.

If you really want to blame something, blame Squaresoft becoming Square-Enix or Nomura's presence in almost everything now, or the fact that RPGs have to keep up with other games with flashy graphics, or something. Or at least go back to complaining about FF7 being overrated again. I personally like reading Sephiroth v. Kefka arguments. *gets popcorn*

Hey, Enix kicked ass on its own; Square bringing them in just added power to the existing powerhouse. I'd definitely say if there truly is suckage in FFs post-KH, it's not because of Enix jumping in on Square's bandwagon.

Personally, I'd go for FF7 being overrated again. I can only play FF8+, because I can't stand the graphics of 7. It's too in-between cute pixel sprites and 3D rendering. I'm fine with the other FFs (pre-7, though I have yet to finish any of those), because they didn't try to be more than they were-- they were awesome as they were, story, system, characters and all.
