It has nothing to do with "democrats vs republicans". Since when are the republicans supposed to be a party that represents the defense of archaic social beliefs? The republican party is about individual rights and keeping the government out of business, not about pushing a religious agenda.

The "grieving parties..." was mostly a joke on Nia's dub dialog when confronting Adiane. All I wanted to say is that there is no reason for people to fight and that the religious community needs to understand that faith is not a competition about righteousness. Faith is supposed to be self-rewarding, not for the condemning of other lifestyles. However, if it bothers you that much, I'm sorry for asking my mom to don't vote for a law that not only is irrelevant for her own life but will also take away the right of happiness from other people.

And I'm sad you're unable to see the greatness of Nia, but that's your loss. You don't have to worry about me, though; I do enjoy Leiji Matsumoto classics because my taste is broad and extensive.

There's a little thing called neo-conservatism you need to google.

i'm with the anonymous above me about the agenda of the republican party. as with the democratic party, and all political parties, they try to get into power by electing candidates with tastes that accommodate their own in hopes laws with be passed that are favorable to them, e.g., keeping the ban on gay marriage, etc. i'm not even talking about religion, the american government (at least attempts) to be non-secular. therefore, i don't really understand why your mixing religious groups with political groups since they're not the same, and although voters obviously maintain their own beliefs, legislation is.. well, political.

for the record, i'm not homophobic at all (actually a lesbian hurrrrr) and i think it's admirable you stood up to your mom. should've said that in my original comment, sorry. ): i don't think nia is such a great character. and uuuh.. cool? i'm not saying your perspective on anime is narrow or anything because you like her.

I'm not that naive, I understand that the Republican Party pushes a religious agenda even if they shouldn't to manipulate the masses. I was just arguing with how you simplified my entire secret into "republicans versus democrats"... specially when all you did was to try and latch onto a little joke of mine.

Regardless, thank you for your support. I'm sorry for questioning you like this, I was just kinda annoyed at the "lol, just lol" comment.

PD: I still think it's sad that you're unable to see how great of a character Nia is. I hope one day you'll come to understand.
