117 YES THIS. Seriously, I hear you SO HARD. I know I'd be called a bad fan if I told more people about this, but I genuinely fucking loved the fandomsplosion that The Dark Knight brought to Batman - a lot of the fic it caused was incredibly lame, but some of it was shockingly good, and all the bad stuff was good for EPIC LULZ and I dug the whole thing hard. most Watchmen fans are looking at the impending fandomsplosion like the harbinger of doom, but I'm excited. I dunno..I love my fandoms to death, but I know by now that taking them too seriously will only come around to bite you. don't be afraid to mock shit you love! (of course, if the movie itself is shitty, I won't be so amused, but internet fandom is definitely much less srs bzns.)
