Oft, I watched this years ago when I knew what it was about and that was still hard going.

I would say to anyone: the cholera scenes are pretty rough if that's not what you expected. It's probably (definitely?) not as explicit as they could've gone but from what I remember doesn't hold back with the implied affects on the body.
