Can it be genfic? There's a lot of cool fic out there that goes into how the cultural background of slavery on Tatooine gives Vader and Luke something in common, most recently I've been reading this one

because I love the author's Evey/V fic so I read their SW stuff too. They also have a gen Mandalorian fic, and I enjoyed it even though I haven't seen The Mandalorian.

Can I get recs for fics with good old genderswap? Not AUs where X character was always a different gender or AUs where character X is trans, just the traditional magic/science/whatever suddenly turned this character a different sex.

Uhh, basically this is a split personality AU, via a superhero and their secret identity and the unfortunate guy in the middle both of them happen to love? Unfinished, technically, maybe???
Basically Rorschach is split into his two identities, his vigilante persona and his secret identity and his ex-partner has to deal with the both of them. (I have literally no idea how to explain this)

Honestly, this fic means so much to me. It was the first to make me actually feel, for me to give a full hearted genuine reaction, of which I honestly thought I lost the capability of feeling. It's a very personal favourite, but stands on it's own as the best interaction and interpretation I've ever known.

But written by the /only/ person that gets it... be it all, their characters, dynamic, every single nuance, and gain of dust in between. This is the real deal. The author mentioned they wanted to get back to it not too long ago. And as much as I could give a speech as to why their fears about continuing are unfounded; I fear my own stilted words wont be enough to convince them... That is if I could ever find the courage to write down every will and release this fic enabled me to power over.
I will, but I fear my own eventuality to commit, might just make it too late, if they could even carry such an impact at all.

Newsies, Spot/Racetrack
The only fic for this pair, for this entire fandom as far as I'm concerned. It ends quite abruptly but has an extra (the fourth) chapter of research notes that left me entertained for days. Pure amazement!




There are so many more, some I haven't read in years, others unfinished, not quite so long, and along the lines of every other excuse you could imagine. I'm willing to give, but only so long as you're willing to take a chance at what I offer. I know I've missed so many, but it's like six in the morning and I'm stressing and it's not as if anyone's about to read this post at this point anyway, so-! I sincerely hope my rec's click as well with you as they did with me! <3
