I can kind of see where the OP is coming from. It's one thing to pretend that you're going somewhere (Hell I'll admit to sometimes daydreaming about being in a zombie film or on the Event Horizon, etc) and it's another to actually want to go there. Right? The idea of pretending you're going to Silent Hill could be pretty fun. Actually wanting to go is a little weird, and not what I really read from the secret in the first place...

... or, I am totally wrong, the OP does indeed want to go to Silent Hill, and I'd have to agree that would be rather strange. It's hardly the top of my Best Places To Visit Ever list.

Some people like to roleplay rape fantasies in bed. It doesn't mean they actually want someone to physically harm and abuse them. Fantasy =/= reality, so a person's enjoyment of the former does not automatically equal their enjoyment of the latter.

Fantasies are fantasies because they let people imagine themselves in all sorts of situations while remaining perfectly safe in reality; that can be enjoyable or fun for some people. It's okay if that's not the kind of fantasy you would have, but there's no need to jump all over the OP for being insane because they like to indulge in their own little world. It's make believe. They didn't say they secretly wanted to go to Silent Hill and die a horrible death for real.

Well, yes.

When I was smaller, every time I went to the hospital I pretended it was actually Arkham Asylum. Of course I realized it would have been horrible had it actually been true, but it wasn't, so it was fun.

It's fun to play around with your imagination, and sometimes your imagination takes you to places that aren't very nice. It's much more normal than you seem to think it is.

Also, I think bowls of hell should be concentrated jalapeno pepper, or something.

The day they end up in Silent Hill they're going to be effing scared. I wish though I would be there in spirit with a camera XD
