...srsly unless you followed it with "but I think cosplayers are lame and stupid and I hate them" then wth, not a secret. (I wish more beginner cosplayers would put time into thinking, really)

129 - congratulations, and good luck! Fandom made me face my gender identity issues too. So thank fandom, and keep working hard to be what you really want to be.

How is it not a secret? It might be a secret to the OP because no one knows they've even CONSIDERED cosplaying. Or it might be a secret because no one knows what a crazy amount of time they put into thinking about it. I felt something like that was implied.

Implied doesn't mean a thing - and that's why it's not a secret. If they SAID why it was a secret, then it would make sense.

Otherwise it's just a statement of something that every one of us who has ever built a costume does. (or should be in some cases, but hey! it's a full-time hobby and part-time job for me)

I kind of got the impression that by "ridiculous amounts of time" they meant truly ridiculous. There's a difference between being a dedicated cosplayer and looking up pictures like that, trying to figure out who you want to cosplay and how to make the outfits, and spending like... idk, all your time for like a year before a convention doing nothing but. I just kind of automatically read the secret as being "ridiculous amounts of time even for a dedicated cosplayer."

But then, I couldn't be sure, which is why I didn't comment. So feel free to ignore me. ;;
