150. Admittedly, I do ship Jack/Ianto. But I ship Jack with a lot of people >.> (Jack/Ten, Jack/Martha, Jack/Rose...) Just... not Gwen. And it is because of Rhys - come on, it's Rhys! Cheating on him would be like kicking a puppy! (I hated the Owen/Gwen ship for the same reason.)

Also, Jack and Gwen have no chemistry. At all. It's kind of amusing, actually XD

Yeah. That shooting-lesson scene. Hardly anything completely, utterly mind-blowingly incendiary there.

I dunno, I still didn't see it :-/ The positions were right, the facial expressions, the dialogue, the music... but it still felt really, really forced.

At least, it did to me - I guess chemistry is a subjective thing?

Truly, truly, because to me JB/GDL has none and for JB to NOT have chemistry with anyone or anything is nigh on impossible. And yet there it is. Or isn't.

I want to give people the benefit of the doubt that they really don't see it, but I'm convinced that there's a lot of bowing down to the altar canon slash and forcing oneself to see chemistry that isn't there and not see what is, in order NOT to want a het ship that would interfere with the so-called canon-slash.

*shrug* I do see chemistry between Jack and Ianto, but I also see masses of chemistry between Jack and Martha, and, earlier, between Jack and Rose (I was so annoyed we didn't get a proper reunion between them ;_;). I just... DON'T see anything between Jack and Gwen. Sorry, but I don't! I like the friendship between them, but I can't see them in a romantic or sexual context, I just can't.

I just did a Jack/Nine/Rose post ep drabble for Doctor Dances. And Martha Jones definitely doesn't get enough love.

Yay! XD There needs to be more Jack/Martha. *nods* It's not a Twu Wuv pairing, it's just... friendship and sexual tension and attracted-ness and genuine affection and FUN XD

And of course, Doctor-issues. (I still LOVE the "you too" moment from The Sound of Drums.)

Plus it should be said, and I think you'd have to agree that for pure sexual energy, Jack first scenes with Rose, especially the dancing on top of the ship were the most sizzleicious moments the character has had in either Who or TW.

I don't see it either, bb. Shockingly, two intelligent people can in fact see subjective things differently without either being "wrong." Not everyone gets that though.

They really, really don't. It was pretty eye rolling how they were totally not going in that direction in season one, then suddenly in season 2 they're all in love. :P

Someone should probably tell John and Eve to stop sizzling everytime they look at each other to avoid all this confusion.

Not to mention needing to retcon everyone from noticing that they were clearly going in that direction from the minute she walked in with the pizzas, if not sooner.

Well, I figured it was what they had intended in the beginning, but then she spent the first season mooning over Owen, which I really, really liked. It wasn't until the second season that she was all "OMG That's right! I'm the main female character, which means I MUST fall in love with the main male character, and even though it completely goes against his characterization, he's going to fall in love with me, too! LULZ."

I mean, I'm not dissing you if you like them, but I, personally, find the entire romance to be contrived and boring.
