Re: 149
i can't speak for the op of this thread.
I'd mispronounce Wasilla, too. I don't see how that matters.
well, i've learned from media coverage of President Bush and Governor Palin that if someone mispronounces a single word or if his or her pronunciation is the less common form than he or she is useless moron and nobody should ever pay attention to anything he or she ever says. Biden mispronounced a word and thus he too is a useless moron.
And frankly, being a governor doesn't make you any more experienced than being a senator.
frankly, being a governor gives a person executive experience which a senator does not have. senator don't run things. senators aren't decision makers. senators don't stand alone and bear the full weight of success or failure.
There have been plenty of great presidents that were legislators in the House or Senate, not governors.
like who?
but you're relating it to things that don't matter much at all in the long run.
i have no idea what this sentence means. sorry.

(Anonymous) 2008-12-12 03:35 am (UTC)(link)Does the name "Abraham Lincoln" ring a bell? Maybe John F. Kennedy? Oh wait, you're Republican, you probably hate Kennedy. Truman? Gerald Ford?
Oh, how about Bush Sr.? I didn't like him much, but maybe you did. He was a Representative when he was elected.

(Anonymous) 2008-12-12 03:51 am (UTC)(link)If so, I think I'll stop arguing with you, my brain might atrophy from the stupidity.
Re: 149
i can have multiple complex thoughts in my head simultaneously and suffer no ill consequences. it makes logical reasoning possible for me and is largley the reason i am well-versed and wise enough to see the merits of past executive experience for a person who hopes to lead a country. but don't feel badly about yourself because this is not possible for you due to your condition.
i hope that this condition you have is not too painful. also, if there is some treatment available i hope you seek it. stay healthy!!
Re: 149
(Anonymous) 2008-12-12 04:05 am (UTC)(link)You didn't answer my question. Do you honestly think Sarah Palin was more qualified than a man with decades of experience in the Senate? I know that dodging the point seems to be your prerogative, but I'd honestly appreciate an answer.
Additionally, I would appreciate if you learned to capitalize; it would make you read as the sort of educated person I can tell you are trying to sound like (and possibly are).
I simply do not see one term as a mayor of a small town and two years as a governor as being comparable to years upon years of experience in the Senate. "Executive" or not is not the point to be had. Before I receive your response, I would like to clarify that experience is not an issue I was prioritizing in my vote, and as such, it has little relevance to me, personally. I'm simply trying to understand, and your response to my question would help me do so.
Re: 149
also, i didn't answer the question because you said you would DIE!!!!!!!!!!!!!! and it would be irresponsible of me to continue this conversation because i am well-aware that your life is at stake. if you succumbed to your disorder some prosecutor with delusions of being Jack McCoy could prosecute me for murder.
i have zero interest in helping you on your quest for understanding or meaningful political dialogue or yearning to connect to the mythical Other. you're rude and i don't like you.
just give up. you're not going to catch me in a contradiction. these people were running to be in the executive office. therefore, experience in an executive office is more important than experience in the cesspool known as Congress. and John McCain and Joe Biden managed not to get kicked out by their constituencies, good for them~!!! it doesn't prove that either of them can be trusted to run a massive infrastructure.
