I'm so sorry. It's awful how insensitive some people can be when it comes to chronic illnesses, especially when it's not something you can see.

To this day, every time I complain about chronic pain, my mother, who is partly responsible for my condition but won't ever acknowledge it, tells me that I'm lucky I didn't get cancer instead. So I guess what I'm trying to say is that I get how angry that kind of stuff can make you and it's perfectly normal.
