Re: What is not worth the time and effort?

Ah. See I hate cooking. It's necessary because I like eating and not being worse off financially, but I hate it. I find it exhausting and disgusting, even when it's food I like. I hate strong smells and touching slimy cold stuff, and I can't do multiple things at once without burning things even with timers. If I had mad money I'd pay someone to do all my meal prep so all I ever had to do was stick things in the microwave. I'd rather clean a thousand toilets than cook something new for every meal for a week.

Yeah, this is why I've had a lot of ham and cheese sandwiches lately.

It is at least not bland lunchmeat ham and also delicious sharp cheddar.

I feel you. I don't mind cooking a couple of times a week, but any more than that and I'm like, ugh, no, what can I shove in the microwave?

Several times a week I am known to shove several large handfuls of mixed greens into a giant bowl, drizzle a little vinaigrette on it, and hoover it. Or eat an entire fresh bell pepper bite by bite. Whatever gets some healthy greens into me with as little prep as possible.
