I had what seemed like a fun idea, to write a 'Hannibal' fic with one of my OCs inserted as Abigail Hobbs. I got the idea after reading a number of stories where Will Graham was secretly another character - like he was the reincarnation of a character from another canon, or something like that. I'll admit I was also a little tired of Abigail getting erased in a lot of fanfic.
Unfortunately, I ran into the problem that if a person is smart enough to realise that something is up with that Hannibal Lector guy, they should also be smart enough to avoid him like he's (for example) a serial-killer cannibalistic genius? So the story ran into a bit of a wall.

Hmm, is there anything you can make Hannibal do that can throw them off his scent? He is a genius after all, so if he feels as if he's being sussed out and he doesn't feel like eating them maybe see it as a sort of game to make him seem completely innocent to that person? I don't know if that helps or not, especially since I'm not exactly in the Hannibal fandom.
