Quiet morning, got a bit work done. Had stuff to do in the afternoon, so I managed to get some groceries (including a small treat for me which I will spread over two days). Mr/Ms Fancy Chicken Curry and Coconut Rice Anon yesterday inspired me to make some chicken curry of my own, which turned out all right. Briefly sank into a state of despair regarding the country's outlook for the pandemic, the election, and the future. Had a bit of my treat (it was key lime cake) and a sip of leftover champagne. Currently pondering something I can do as a citizen. It doesn't seem like a big deal but it is, and could also carry risks of Covid. But there are times the national interest must outweigh the person interest. Maybe I'm meant to do it, but at the same, I fear and hope this wasn't my only purpose in life. But I think I've always been a little selfish.
