Re: Arbitrary Food Preferences
Agreed with you on steak and roast beef. I'd add hamburger to that. Beef generally just tastes better rare unless it is a sauce ingredient or in soup or something.
I can't stand mayo. Only time I ever eat mayo is with a tuna sandwich, and then I put less mayo than most people I know and mix it with relish so it doesn't taste much like mayo anymore.
I'm meh on lettuce in general, though sometimes it is okay on salad depending on the variety. Sometimes I'll like it on a hamburger, but rarely. Never on a sandwich.
I don't do fast-food burgers at all, mostly because of the above statement about preferring my hamburgers rare. Fast food won't do that, and I think that unless a burger is rare or at least medium rare it doesn't taste particularly good.
Re: Arbitrary Food Preferences
I phrased my anti mayo stance the way I did precisely because I'm constantly getting the nasty stuff put on my burgers, sandwiches, etc. when I not only didn't order it but it was NOT listed as an ingredient in the flippin sandwich or whatever to begin with.
Re: Arbitrary Food Preferences
And I actually can't stand regular Coke. Too sweet and I don't like the feeling it give me, like the sugar is sitting on my teeth. Actually Diet Coke, diet root beer, gingerale, and Diet Sprite are the only sodas I like.
