i get this. it is a lot harder for me to read original fiction when i did it all the time as a kid. even for school it was never a chore. i think part of it is the way interacting w the web (rah rah social media) has totally killed my attention span. so it made it feel like reading a book without knowing already that i'd like it felt like too big a risk of wasting time smh.

i've been thinking i need to try a dopamine detox sooner than later lmao.
