I have a secret similar to this, only it's not so much "I think we must be fundamentally different" if they actively dislike the character I love, but because the only people I've seen who actively dislike him seem to hate him with a fangirly passion and I'm 99% sure that would spill into our interactions if they found out he's one of my favorite characters. :/

104. It might also be because Deadwood is a Western and True Blood is, as near as I can tell, some kind of Horror/Romance thing? From what I've seen, Romance and even Horror tend to be a lot more popular than Westerns are amongst HUGE SWARMS of fandom. Which makes me sad because, lol, Tombstone -- but then I can't blame them, since Westerns usually aren't my thing either. Tombstone's just that good. *sad*

The manga is from the same folks who brought you Death Note, which is why there was so much hype for it even before the first chapter was released.

Oh, wow, brighter more cartoony style! But I can see it. No wonder it looks cool to me. XD I might have to check it out, just to see -- I'll just cross my fingers that it doesn't hit me as boring fail, because that would be way too disappointing.

Hee! It really, really is. I've randomly imagined different Holmes-gets-brought-back-to-life-somehow-in-modern-times/the-future storylines, a few times with what I've realized now are total Mary Sues, and sometimes with larger OC casts that are just... odd (science fiction style story with a boy and a girl who are twins, that included a character that I think was also Puck, if I remember correctly? I DON'T EVEN KNOW). And I tend to imagine crossovers that then like... evolve into slash for no good reason. (I got a friend into The Avengers/Sherlock Holmes a while ago, funnily enough, and at least crossing Holmes over with Doctor Who potentially makes sense! XD;)

I have a weird imagination. It's totally funtiems. :>

I need to see more stuff with Brett!Holmes. I think I saw like... one movie years ago. I remember that I love the man in the role, but I haven't seen much. :x
