Just as a note, a lot of people talk about how they've seen others RP characters they HATE, and actually like the way those characters are RP'd. So just give it a chance, you might be surprised.

169. Both sides sort of need to. However, it's become the major squealy INSANE fangirl thing on one side (for some fans), and on the other side it seems to be "cool" for some reason to rabidly hate the books and anyone who likes them. Sometimes without ever having touched the books and formed their own opinions! I don't even get it, guys.

170. I kind of wonder what series they're reading. Now, if they're complaining about a specific series, it depends on which one! (And I can argue that even Reborn does HAVE strong female characters, they just get portrayed so badly by the mangaka that it's hard to notice and they never get to their full potential.) But anime/manga/comics as a whole? Yeah no. They exist, and strangely, they're not that hard to find either. KEEP LOOKING, PEOPLE.

(I can agree with Winry, I don't know the other three well enough. Integra from Hellsing, though -- and Yukino from KareKano, and Keiko from YuYu Hakusho...)

Is this for 170? If it is, D: I totally agree with you and I seriously didn't mean for my statement to come across as painting fans and non-fans into extremes of insanity. Still, there is batshit on both ends of the spectrum, and it really makes me feel bad for the people in the middle. I think some of the more insane fans should take some sedatives and calm the crap down (DO NOT MAKE YOURSELF BLEED FOR THE ACTOR, GUYS D8), but I also think the ANTI-TWILIGHT OMG extreme anti-fans have made themselves look far worse than pretty much any fan of the book could. So... yeah, basically agreeing with you that people need to calm down over the existance of a book and the fact that other people happen to like it.

I guess it's more the hopeless wish that it become canon. Shounen series just don't do romance very much and Neuro is way too off the wall to go that way. Not gonna happen, and I know better.
