You know, I was wondering about that, when Akito showed up in the school.. "she" must have had a really manly figure, because even as a skinny manga character, she still looked much more like a boy than a girl. (Not even counting on the flat chest.)

Takaya made Akito female because she was pissed people were slashing the characters--what the hell did she expect, though?--might have more than a grain of truth to it.

Exactly. That annoys me a lot too. She should have realized that come on, people slash every single character because they like to do that, she shouldn't have even done the whole manga if she was going to rush the ending that badly.

Ah, yes. The ending. The way "nobody should be left alooone" and Takaya just makes up few characters - like, didn't Yuki get a girlfriend that hadn't been seen much before? - to pair up everyone. Very realistic. /sarcasm.

I am annoyed and very much disappointed at it and I can agree with you very much.

lol I wanted to fix the typos... XD Not to censor myself; here's what I wrote:

If this is true, I just lost all respect for her as a mangaka that I still had. Every author should realize that no publicity is bad publicity - unless they make it so. *facepalms* Well. Now we know why Ouran overshadowed FuRuBa by far the second it came on the market.

Btw, I'm a PR student, I know what I'm talking about, marketing and promotion-wise. "ZOMG this 13-year-old girl (random place) wrote a Kyo/Yuki! Le gasp! I'll soooo make her pay for that! D:< Kyo/Thoru, Yuki/RandomShyCouncilMember - IN UR FACE!!1!!!1!ONE"

But seriously. This can't be the reason. Nobody is as retarded not to know what makes a fandom grow, and that fic/fanart (slashy or non) is the fuel of the life-flame. Takaya's not gonna last if she's not going to cope with this...

And yes lol. In this day and age an outhor has to know how to deal with fandom. And if they don't, they need to hire agents that prevent them from making unwise decisions. (Talking about the random rushed ending, pairing related wank is useless anyway... XD)

Btw, even if you are a 'horse', I doubt you're as... there's no nice adjectives I can add to Rin, sorry... Irritating is the mildest, but that's my personal opinion. Also because uh. I'm not bi-polar like Hatsuharu either. In the end, her characterization wasn't so distinct on all the members... it kinda watered down badly at all the pairing-ups, hence why it seems mostly so rushed and out fo the blue. I mean, I'm not even a rabid slasher; I can calmly enjoy a het canon pairing, such as Van/Hitomi from Escaflowne cuz even if I don't particularly like the characters, the story makes the pairing make sense, etc. Most of Takya's didn't, to me. Was FuRuBa her first work? I'll look it on Wiki, but I can't be bothered. XD
