(Anonymous) 2020-07-28 03:31 am (UTC)(link)My reply was precisely that: If I can't adopt an extra kitten with my current income, then I shouldn't adopt an extra kitten. I can take care of my two without problem, they have always water, food and treats, their vet visits are covered, and toys are covered. BUT a third one would strain that and if I had an emergency I am not sure I could cover it. So no third kitten. That's when the person said "Ok, if you went to my shelter, I would let you adopt because you just proven you're responsible". I had no idea it was a test, but I do get it. You don't make a gofund me to get pregnant, you don't make a gofund me to get a kitten.
