CSI was on for so long, I got into it when it had already been on the air for a number of years (I got into it due to watching late afternoon cable re-runs when I would get home from work - TNT or some channel would marathon multiple episodes at a time of day when little else was on), I watched it faithfully for several seasons, then I burned out on it and stopped watching... and it was still on the air for some years after that!
