Disliking it when people assume you like a canon for reasons you don't, and refusing to believe you when you say it COULD be anything other than what they think, is totally justified. But some people just like the traps and gore, and there's nothing wrong with that. What right do you have to tell them "but you're DOING IT WRONG!" when it's just how they enjoy the movies?

I like the idea if A)the alien characters aren't necessarily sexually attracted to humans, but choose humans because they are sexually compatible and can mate and produce offspring, or B)if it's not so much a "MARS NEEDS WOMEN!" trope and the alien and human having sex are doing it because they love each other, not so much because they find each other beautiful/handsome. c:
