But my god, every time I see a series, it seems like, I see a boy and a girl character who seem to have chemistry and like each other and... bam! There it goes again. 124. ... Grell was calling him Sebas-chan. If they had an English character subtitled as calling anybody -chan, I would be a bit irked. Sebby is lame but actually fits in this case. To sum up: if the character is actually calling the other character by a nickname, it would be bad subbing NOT to use a nickname in the subtitles.

This isn't related to the original secret, but OP, your opinion that people shouldn't want a character to be redeemed because he deserves to die if he's killed people, including his own father, made me giggle before. Not because it's a BAD OPINION or anything, though I can understand the people who want him redeemed -- because the whole point of redemption is for them to no longer be deserving of being punished for past crimes -- but because it makes me think "wow, one of the bad-guy protagonists of my favorite books is SCREWED, then! |D"

140. I agree with the first part, but I can't agree with the second. Disliking it when people assume you like a canon for reasons you don't, and refusing to believe you when you say it COULD be anything other than what they think, is totally justified. But some people just like the traps and gore, and there's nothing wrong with that. What right do you have to tell them "but you're DOING IT WRONG!" when it's just how they enjoy the movies?

I like the idea if A)the alien characters aren't necessarily sexually attracted to humans, but choose humans because they are sexually compatible and can mate and produce offspring, or B)if it's not so much a "MARS NEEDS WOMEN!" trope and the alien and human having sex are doing it because they love each other, not so much because they find each other beautiful/handsome. c:
