Re: Wattpad vs FF.net vs AO3

Wattpad is awful; it might be in part because much of the userbase is noticeably younger than FF.net and Ao3.

FF.net's archive is invaluable but the majority of fandoms are pretty much dead there, at least in my experience.

Ao3 has a great database and tag system, arguably one of the best, but it sounds like some writers are ditching the platform that it has grown too popular, what with being the main hub for fic now. Some prefer quieter, cozier platforms.

LiveJournal alt sites such as InsaneJournal are super fun to browse through but mostly dead.

Man, I wish fandom shrine websites would make a comeback.
