Admittedly, by the time I got to ASMR, it was freaking huge (Uhh that was... 1997-1998? I think? Maaaybe 99) and I would find it nigh impossible for anyone to actually personally know a huge majority of the writers from an archive that size when I was reading it, because there were so many authors. And it seemed like every time I clicked a fic, it was poorly-written lesbian smut with the occasional Usagi/Mamoru thrown in (There was also a lot of Rei/Usagi, like, a lot of Rei/Usagi. And Haruka/Michiru. And Haruka/Setsuna. And Michiru/Setsuna. And Haruka/Michiru/Hotaru augh. And of course Three Lights stuff, though that's always hard to classify).
So either we knew ASMR at different times or coincidentally had very different experiences in an archive that size...
