In the age where everyone gets points for being the most ~woke~, they think they have to justify liking basic artists. (And I just imagined someone worrying that another person on the internet would criticize them for not liking more diverse artists, and I made myself sad.)

IME people who are engaged with that stuff are overwhelmingly gay or bisexual women themselves and engage with it specifically because they like Taylor and also really like gay stuff, not out of a concern with wokeness.
