Okay, so I have no idea what this is, or what it's about... Hell, everything you've said about it makes me hate it- but god damn if you didn't sell me on this series anyways~! Love it!

Da

The Earth's Children series by Jean Auel is about prehistoric life and modern humans existing alongside Neanderthal folk in Europe, thousands of years ago, and is a mixed bag: the first book is excellent and was very well researched to the point that it was once included in some college courses. The second book is, imo, just as good as the first. The third book is good but runs into Harlequin Romance territory. Book 4 was more romance but forgettable, book five was tedious and book six (the last in the series) was so bad I couldn't make it through the first few chapters. However I highly recommend the first three books, after that, I advise any reader to use caution.

(Also, just in case you need it, trigger warnings for sexual assault, animal death, and violence.)

Clan of the Cave Bear was THE sexy book that precocious pre-teens read in the early 80s before the internet existed. It's not really that sexy, but when you're 12, it kind of is.

I don't remember much about this except "prehistoric people boning."
