A piece of art can have redeeming technical qualities... and it can still be considered ugly. That's a legitimate opinion, even if you don't agree with it. Implying that people wouldn't have that opinion if they were as educated as you are about what goes into a piece of art is... an interesting take. But if you're an artist, then surely you understand that it's all subjective.

Also, it's a mistake to assume that secrets are only made about super serious things. This is fandom.

Yeah, you are right. I just feel bad because art is so subjective, a brilliant work to one person can be completely shat on by another, but often it's the lesser opinion that sticks. I never meant any implication by my words may have implied, only that I try to look for the best in all artworks (both visual and written) as I find the medium extremely interesting.

I guess secret #7 got a few people in overdrive, and second guessing everything. (Although I suppose it might be fair in my case) I seem to be very bad at phrasing things, ans often come off as aggressive I guess.
At this point I'm not even referring to OP as I don't know which works they consider so bad. I'm more or less lamenting on the idea that because art is so subjective, that people are more likely to dislike a piece than like it for whatever reason. I'm not sure what else to say here.
