I think the method would be the same - especially for Pullips? Due to their sizes?
Face-ups aren't too hard if you have a steady hand and lots of patience in comparison to some things. I can't quite get them, b/c of my unsteady hands, but I get the gist of it. And if you can sew for smaller dolls, I think you've already got a good chance of a steady hand with Monster High and face-up's in general.
Just keep doing research on the proper materials work with which types of dolls. And definitely invest in a pack of multi-size brushes. You'll definitely appreciate the variety and options.
