Are you also amused by the thought that maybe Barron Battle was not a super villian name but his given name (bestowed by hippie parents who thought they were being clever)?

Okay, I have to un-anon myself for that now, that's just HILARIOUS! XD

My one friend that likes Sky High and me had this whole theory that Warren's mom is Laura Peace - a super-lady who's power is being nigh-indestructible and she raised him after Barron got sent to jail.

Warren Battle? Would have sounded totally fine, but Barron and Laura never got married so he's Warren Peace instead, much to his jailed daddy's chagrin.

Oh, interesting theory. I was wondering why he didn't have his fathers last name. It seems like the stuff of a secret love affair, but everyone knows about it so I guess the whole secret thing didn't go over to big.

Now that I'm thinking about it, I wonder if Warren ever visits his father in jail. Are they on good terms? Do they play checkers or something? Does Barron feed him secret messages about how the heroes must be brought down? Or does Laura want him away from Barron's bad influence. I wonder if she still has a soft spot for him, or if she ever had other kids. I get the feeling Warren is an only child, though.

I HAVE NEVER WANTED FIC SO BAD IN MY LIFE.

I feel like Laura and Barron were probably an epic love-story where he sort of fell into super-villiany in attempt to be the sort of successful man he felt she deserved.

Like he knocked her up right out of high school and they loved each other and but had no money and no jobs and Barron started in on the illegal stuff to try to support them and then a job when bad, people died, he got arrested and it all went to hell.


I want to write some kind of epic fic where Warren has a self-identity crisis around high school grad, incensed about the unfairness of the world and he just goes temporarily crazy and breaks his father out of prison and they spend a couple days bonding and hiding from the authorities. XD

I would read that in an instant! It would be very very epic. Also, I want some Layla/Warren, because they were way more interesting than Layla/the main kid. Plus, he was totally in love with her and I don't buy for a second that he just randomly hooked up with Ice Girl at the end. I wonder how Layla would react to his identity crisis/daddy bonding.

I too have been fond of Layla/Warren over Layla/Will. I keep thinking if Warren was with Layla during this whole daddy bonding incident they would go kidnap her.

"I just want you to meet him, okay?"
"...Okay, but if I get accused of anything I'll tell the authorities you dragged me out this window kicking and screaming."
"Deal, come on."

Something tells me she'd be sympathetic about the whole thing afterward, despite feeling that Warren had gone INSANE at the time. <3

Oh totally. She'd probably grow some flowers for Warren's dad or something. They are too OTP for her to feel otherwise.

Are you seriously going to write this? Because now you've got me all excited and falling back into my obsession for this movie. Don't toy with my emotions, woman!
