There's a reason why I adopted the word 'flopsy' for anything under 500 words. I still do consider a drabble to be 100 words, but don't want to write something that is 329 words long and call it a fanfiction.

I try not to get too hung up over labels, but drabbles are special. There's a whole art to them that you obviously can't grasp unless you stick to the rule. Then the fandom is inundated with these whatever-length things, and I start to think there aren't any good, proper drabbles anymore.

I have to admit, it's going to be hard for me to look at short fanfic and not think, "Flopsies!" from now XD

Yeah, I know I call my 493 word piece whatever a drabble sometimes. It's honestly not a big deal, but my tags have them labeled as "flopsy." It's a fun little word and I am glad to have passed it on. I've forgotten exactly where I'd gotten it from in the first place, but I know I am not the originator.
