Hm... do you know how the manga ends? I have never read any of it because I was put off by the way they drew Hitomi (she kinda resembled Fuu from Magic Knight Rayearth0_o)

There are two different versions of the manga (both by different artists, if I'm not mistaken), a shonen one and a shojo one. The shonen one was the only one that got officially licensed and translated.
