Even though I highly doubt that I will ever have kids, I do have lists of names that I like lol.
For girls: Sylvia, Florence, Amelia, Lillian, and Nicola.
For boys: Xavier, Tobias, Theodore, Alphonse, and Frederick.

Male: Nathaniel, Ezekiel, Hezekiah, Ephraim, Zachariah

Female: Evelyn, Honora, Eurydicia, Genevieve, Adalind

Yes, I do have a bit of a thing for old-fashioned, Victorian, somewhat biblical names. Though you can blame 1964’s ‘The Great Race’ for my liking Hezekiah. And probably starting the trend, now that I think about it. I watched the movie young, and the name really stuck out to me.

If I ever had kids, I’d probably go with Nathaniel and Evelyn. Nate and Evie.

Ra

Do you pronounce it MAY-bel (like maple syrup) or MAH-bel (like mah-jong)?

I always get confused when I see it...I grew up speaking English and Spanish so I'm never quite sure with some names lol.

May-bell is how I would personally pronounce it :)

DA

I feel like that would get lots of mispronunciations. I think most English speaking people would pronounce it MAY-bul (not really a pronounced U sound, but that's the closest way I can spell it phonetically). I feel like May-bell should be spelled Maybelle, or maybe Mabelle (although I'd want to pronunce that one muh-BELL).

I feel like that might be a Spanish issue though? Which if my kid ever moved to America that might be an issue, but we're in Europe and most other European languages I think wouldn't hAve that problem. Interesting to know though thanks.

I have a thing for flower names for girls. If I had a daughter I'm sure she'd have a flower name of some sort.
