AYRT--see, I get being against ebooks as they are sold by big companies, with proprietary file types and devices so you can't transfer your files over. (I really need a desktop so I can download Calibre.) And I get enjoying the physical experience of holding and reading a paper book.

I don't get thinking liking and owning dead tree books makes you superior to people who use e-readers or their phone or listen to audiobooks, or get books (in whatever form) from the library.

Also, I love libraries, I work for one. But you are not a superior being because you check out books there, either.

Totally get that! Honestly, even though I still have a Kindle, I use my tablet way more these days (I use an app called AlReader that I like waaay better than the official Kindle one, it works with pretty much any file type, and you can customize just about any aspect of it that you can imagine).

I also get having a preference for physical books, but the idea that it somehow makes you superior is just...dumb.
